We did a lot of shopping around and realized that if we wanted to save the old granite then kitchen refacing was our best option. We ordered a sample from you guys and thought that your Berkshire design looked great. With that as our baseline we went to the local home store and had a contractor come out to give us quotes. Kitchen reface was the cheapest and nicest option that allowed us to do a full overlay design with soft close hinges. We used our local contractor to build new drawer boxes and install soft close drawer slides and then ordered everything else from kitchenreface.com. We wanted to paint our cabinetry and liked that you offered matching paint to match the doors. We are not experts but were able to get a smooth finish with some sanding, a grain filler, and high density foam rollers to roll the paint onto the existing face frame. We mixed and matched hinge overlay's to get an even 1/4" spacing everywhere and the results are fantastic. Everyone that has seen our house is amazed that we transformed our kitchen for only $2500. I am contacting you to let you know of our experience with your product. We decided to reface our dated cabinets with good solid bases. We have no prior knowledge of your company, nor did we have any recommendation. We simply choose you with the help of our contractor off from the Internet. Our contractor and my husband were amazed at the timely shipping and the quality of the paint and doors. Our contractor is a local builder with 20 plus years experience and he was hesitant at the idea of refacing. After this experience, he is excited to reccomend this to more of his clients. It took him two days to install the doors and paint. We also bought the decorative molding and he installed crown moulding up above that. It literally looks like we gutted our kitchen and installed a brand new one. Our total cost with extras like a new above the range microwave and labor was just over $3000. I am writing of this experience as a business owner myself. Mostly, i tend to hear complaints over compliments. People aren't as forthcoming with pointing out a job well done. Between the two properties, we have had more improvement projects to count and none have compared to the smoothness of this one. There was no damage , nothing to return or replace and as I said, the shipping was exactly three weeks from the time of purchase. I found other sites, some less expensive and some more. But I could not find what I believed to be honest and true guest satisfaction results. Most of what I read sounded manufactured, claiming to be testimonials. Raw Doors testimonials provided me with the missing link that I needed to move forward with my purchase. They just sounded sincere and honest. I viewed many photos in your gallery and it appeared the product looked well built. I just wanted that final piece that said "I did this, and it was good." You know what I mean ? Then the first of two shipments arrived and I was blown away. The doors are amazing, the packaging was incredible and the project is just about complete. The website was excellent and after reviewing the video, I called the company to get a few questions I had answered. Your customer service people, and I spoke to two of them, Becky and Stacy, were fantastic. They were able to answer all of my questions. They didn't hesitate to provide guidance and helpful comments, which gave me confidence to go ahead with the re-modeling of our cabinet doors. The ordering process was easy after the measurements were taken. Your easy "walk through the order" website was easy to do and not difficult to follow. The doors shipped in about four weeks and we took our time to get them up correctly over two half days. They are beautiful and we are extremely pleased with everything. We priced out entire new cabinets from three local dealers and they all ran about $12,000, which was a budget buster for us. We saved a lot of money, about $10,000 by keeping the existing framework and just redoing the doors. The money we saved was used for new granite counter tops, as well as painting and flooring for the entire kitchen area. Our painter saw the doors up, along with a realtor and relatives and friends and all were very impressed with the quality and detail of the color and style we selected. One more comment. I was in manufacturing for 30 years as a marketing representative. I knew quality when I saw it and commented to my wife how professional I thought your entire process was. Starting from website, to accurate production time, to customer service, to shipping, your entire process is first class and ranks very high for hitting 100% of customer satisfaction in my book. I'm looking forward to an "Open House" with our new neighbors and friends and I'm sure many of them are going to want to make changes to their nine year old kitchens with the original cabinets. We wanted a full overlay, very clean, straight modern style to go with our new white quartz. Other companies online sold only plywood slab doors but we wanted solid with no veneer. We hand rubbed them with 2 coats of a dark espresso color stain and the oak grain shows through just perfectly. However, my husband decided to drive to your Kansas location to save on freight charges. In terms of cost, please note that melamine boxes are hidden behind your variously sized doors. Your charges were approximately $3K. Add to this figure another $4K for the box materials, some additional carpentry charges when another pair of hands were needed and our sweat equity. Additional hickory accents were affixed to the island and around other appliances to incorporate the new wood look. Also to your credit, my husband greatly appreciated the pre-drilled holes for the hinges. He found that your your website provided the exact location for these hinges which was very handy for planning the shelf locations within the cabinets. And let us not forget to mention the finish work which is so pleasing to the eye and touch. By evening I had them dyed (not stained) a deep cherry color and ready for the 3 coats of General's polycrylic water base top coat. By the way, including the foam sanding block with the order was an unexpected benefit. Nice touch. My goal for this project was to have the look of expensive cherry wood on a conservative budget. Considering that, I used birch plywood for the carcass, poplar for the face frames, and maple for the doors. The end result is beautiful. I'm in the process now of fitting/installing the doors on a 13' bookcase I just finished. We have yet to select the glass for the 24 panels. I don't have deep pockets like some others, but still like to have some of the finer things in life. I have always wanted to replace my MDF cabinet doors in my kitchen. Not only were they outdated, they were dirty with a film of grease since the house was built in 1985. After taking down all the doors, I realized that the project may be tougher than I originally thought. I had no prior experience in replacing cabinets, and really had no one to rely on for expertise. I had 2 choices, hire a professional company to replace the doors, or order them from Rawdoors and do it myself. After estimates from Home Depot, and Kitchen Magic, I got quotes for $5K and $6K! The difference in price made the decision very easy. The doors from Rawdoors came out to be $1300. Including the cost of knobs, pulls, glass, and other equipments for the project, the total cost was less than $1600! I got the doors around 2 weeks after my order. What impressed me the most was packaging. They could have wrapped my kid and dropped her from second floor without any injuries. Joking aside, the doors came as decribed online. For those of you hesitating about ordering your doors online, the quality is top grade. The project took me about 6 days. The difference between hiring a professional versus doing it myself was over $3400. That is some serious money saved! Few items one should consider before venturing out on a project of your own: 1. Utilize your local kitchen showrooms as a template for what you want your kitchen to look like. I made a mistake of going online first, and worried about ordering to wrong style after the fact. Glad mine still came out great! 2. Make sure you measure your doors twice to avoid any problems. The staff at Rawdoors is really knowledgeable and helpful, but they won't be held accountable if you gave them the wrong measurements! 3. If you are looking to stain and apply protective finish, make sure you are experience at it first. This step took the longest for me, and was the least fun out of the entire project. It is great that Rawdoors is offering Natural finish for customers now. Hopefully, they will offer additional shades in the future. Honestly, even if they charge extra for it, the time tradeoff is worth the price. Thanks Rawdoors for an awesome product!
